Essential Oils Tick Repellent Spray
This is our best repellent for ticks. It is best used with waist down application in conjunction with our People or Summer Camp products. It is a heavier and stronger repellent than our other repellents. While no repellent repels all ticks, in independent lab tests, ours repelled 92% of deer ticks. While our 8-ounce bottles have our signature trigger sprayer, our 4-oz and 2-ounce sizes (with pump sprayers) are convenient for travel and to carry in a handbag or a backpack. The 2- oz comes in a value priced 3-pack.

Seriously, Ticks Suck
Longer days and warmer weather are Mother Earth's way of letting you know that it’s the perfect time for being outdoors. The start of spring means that months of camping, hiking, days at the beach, or having a BBQ in your backyard are just around the corner. However, it is important to be cautious as well. Warmer weather also signals the beginning of tick season. It doesn’t matter if you’re taking a hike in the woods, walking along dunes on the beach, or just relaxing in your backyard. These little pests are everywhere, and their bites can sour anyone’s mood.
There is a good reason for why many Americans and Canadians are concerned when it comes to deer ticks. However, we at Nantucket Spider also believe that ticks and other biting insects should never be a reason to stop you from enjoying the outdoors. With the right precautionary measures, you can keep yourself safe from ticks.
It’s a good thing that Nantucket Spider has an essential oil tick repellent that has been shown to repel 92% of deer ticks in independent lab tests.
The Best Essential Oil Tick Repellent
Nantucket Spider’s Extra Strength Natural Tick Repellent is made using organic essential oils like clove oil, geranium oil, peppermint oil, Cedarwood oil, spearmint oil, rosemary oil, and cinnamon oil which is known for being very effective for dealing with ticks. These essential oils are blended with water, glycerin, and natural vanillin, which is derived from cloves and is responsible for making the tick repellent evaporate at a slower rate, therefore, making it last longer.
This tick repellent gives off a nice vanilla spice scent while also being DEET-free, nut, and soy-free, and is vegan. Nantucket Spider is also proud to say this tick repellent is cruelty-free. Nantucket Spider supports animal rights and will never condone animal testing.
Applying Nantucket Spider Extra Strength Tick Repellent
Shake the bottle well and push the button on the nozzle to unlock. Keep away from the face, then spray directly onto your skin, hair, and clothing using a sweeping motion. You should know that ticks get onto their hosts from the ground and crawl up the body to warm spots where they can hide. More attention should be placed on the waist down, so apply the tick repellent thoroughly from the knees down on all sides, including your socks, and your shoe. Apply thoroughly from the waist down if hiking or being in an area with a deeper brush, and on the arms, if you’ll be handling weeds or brush. Don’t forget to test each repellent first on a small patch of skin for sensitivity before use.
This tick repellent should not be used on dogs since it has clove oil, and cinnamon oil, which can irritate dogs’ skin and sensitive noses. Use Nantucket Spider Essential Oil Insect, Flea and Tick Repellent for Dogs instead.
