As we grow as a brand, we have spent time asking ourselves hard questions about the best way to put the things we believe into thoughtful and direct action. We have decided that protecting rainforests is the most direct and impactful way for us to make a real difference to the conservation of precious ecosystems, endangered animals, and the protection of our planet as a whole.

Why Rainforests?
Rainforests are one of the most important natural resources on our planet. Safely storing many tons of carbon, our Earth's rainforests help to stabilize our planet's weather patterns, mitigate effects of climate change, and are a source of water, food, and land for the people that call it home.
Rainforests are also home to 50% of the world’s species, many of which are critically endangered. Thousands of indigenous communities also rely on these forests for their food, water and economic prosperity.
In short, rainforests help to sustain life on this planet, and their long-term protection is absolutely vital for our survival.
Rainforest Trust ensures the protection of these vital ecosystems through partnerships with local communities and trusted in-country partner NGOs. The charity has already saved over 39 million acres of rainforest and other tropical ecosystems.

People and Planet Friendly
Owl populations and the populations of other threatened and endangered species have been harmed in large measure through habitat destruction.
Habitat conservation and restoration are critically important for the climate and for the survival of species. The fragile web of life, which includes people and the humblest of creatures alike, is best protected by restoring and protecting the natural environment in which we all live.
In developing our Nantucket Footprint logo, we chose the footprints of an owl to represent the fragility of the many species of animals and plants that are threatened or endangered throughout the world.
Community Impact
We are committed to finding ways to contribute to our local communities. We recently began partnering with TransitionCT' which provides job training for young adults with learning differences. With guidance, support, and training the workers in this program have been helping us with vital assembly work. As we look ahead, we continue to seek ways to further engage in partnerships that value the contributions of our diverse community.
